Food and Treats Policy

Please read the below regarding changes to lunch food, birthdays, and other special event treats.
As always, keeping our students safe is our first priority at FV Elementary Schools.
We will continue to require all treats brought to school for birthdays or other special events to be store bought with a factory seal. Homemade items, as well as items baked at grocery stores or bakeries, are not permitted unless they have a factory seal. If it has a factory seal, it is permissible at school. If it does not, it is not permissible at school.
This school year students may bring food with nuts for lunch, birthdays, or other special events. Nut-free zones will be established based on individual student needs in the cafeteria and/or specific classrooms. Additional communications will be sent if your child’s classroom is a nut-free zone with any additional safety precautions.
